The AD-01 centre zip jacket from Addict is the original in their line up. It’s simple, clean, functional and looks great. Addict have based the AD-01 on the simple, clean lined and functional biker jackets of the 1960’s and they have done a fine job. A real unfussy great fitting head turner.

The sheepskin leather is fantastic and works very well for this jacket. It has Subtle grain and is tea core which means the underlying lighter Brown tones will show through with wear. The weight is perfect. It’s not flimsy and it’s not overly heavy/ thick, just that perfect wearable weight for the majority of the year with or without layers. It’s very comfortable immediately and feels like you are wearing the jacket instead of the other way around and it ages beautifully with lovely rolls and a sheen that develops in areas of high wear like the elbow rolls as an example. We cannot recommend Addicts sheepskin for immediate comfort and a great drape to a leather jacket.

The cut of the jacket is great, well balanced in the chest and shoulders with just enough back length so as not to appear long but long enough to cover your lower back, tuck or untuck a shirt and still have that classic Black leather jacket look. It’s neither a boxy or modern slim cut. For reference Mr model here is 5Ft 11″ on a good day, circa 84 KG’s, long in the torso with a fairly wide chest/ mid back and wears a size 42. He could comfortably have worn a flannel shirt or mid weight sweater.

All the details have been well thought out and executed including Addicts own custom zippers, plush quilted lining, 2 slash hand warmer pockets, internal chest pocket, snap closure tab and steel buckle side adjusters.

The finish, as is to be expected form a company that specialise in leather jackets from Japan, is flawless. Very neat and all well aligned.

The AD-01 is a great everyday, on and off the bike jacket that will age to perfection and replicate the vintage jackets we all see and covet.
