From Rolling Dub Trios Griffin range, the long awaited Jodhpur boots.
The Jodhpur boots are a new pattern from Rolling Dub Trio designed around their Griffin styles and using their modified munson last. They are not the usual Jodhpur style and along with making comfortably extremely well made boots, that is what RDT are know for.
The fairly newly developed last has become very popular for it’s easy wear shape, it has some arch support, has a good width at the ball, average to slim in the mid foot and heel with a tapered toe for a sleeker profile. Whne sized correctly the toe doesn’t feel narrow or look elongated. It’s a very good looking and versatile last.
The leather is Italian Horsebutt and is a really lovely leather. It is supple for a thick hide, has a nice lustre and sheen, will develop those lovely Horse rolls and is tea core so the Brown hues will start to show through with age and wear. The boots are also kip leather lined so it feels like your are slipping into slippers.
The construction is fantastic. Hand channeled and goodyear welted. It is a long and intricate process which is chosen to be able to GYW and offer such a sleek silhouette simultaneously.
The materials including the Boots Factory cork/ rubber soles and heels and steel buckles are all top notch and the finish as with everything Rolling Dub produce, is great.
