The details are what really make Stevenson Overall jeans stand out. The La Jolla’s are sewn together using a felled single stitch method for a very authentic vintage look. The thread used is a custom poly cotton for strength. The buttons are back by leather washers, the curved belt loops are hand sewn and heavily tacked for strength as is the curved coin pocket. A favourite detail though has to be the positioning and style of the back pockets, particularly when worn in.
THE DENIM: was designed by and custom spun for Stevenson at Kuroki mills in the denim capital of Okayama, Japan. It is Green line, made of Zimbabwe cotton and with wear shows a slight Greenish hue. It has a subtle slubby texture and weighs in at 14.5 oz and so has a nice breathable medium weight to it.
SHRINKAGE: Unwashed, unsanforized or rigid, whichever term you prefer, they will shrink with washing, more so the hotter the temperature and less so with a cold soak (which is always recommended when new to you). They will shrink up to 1.5″ in the waist and around 2.5″ in length and will tighten up all over but having experience of this denim, it will stretch back out again. More detail in the sizing info tab.
