Thedi Leathers Cossack Jacket – Bruciato Dream Horsehide MTC-127913

£1,150.00

The MTC-127913 Cossack jacket from Thedi Leathers is a heavy weight, second skin  and lifetime companion. Extremely well made out of beautiful medium – heavy weight Italian Horsehide and with some very well thought out details.

The Bruciato Dream Horsehide leather from Italy is a stunning medium to heavy weight leather (1.4mm thickness). It is pliable but feels quite stiff to initially, although, it felt very comfortable and eased up immediately during the photo shoot. It has a subtle grain, beautiful lustre and a really nice tone that we have tried to show between the different lights in the pictures. Once this leather shapes to you it is going to feel great and bullet proof.

The other details: Hard wearing but soft wool lined, viscose lined sleeves, brass vents to the pits which are surrounded by a sewn in leather shaped patch for extra wear protection, branded zip internal gun pocket (who doesn’t love that pocket), two outer hand warmer pockets, heavy stitched cossack collar that covers your neck for the windy days and natural coloured buttons.

For sizing please see the sizing info but the Cossack jacket is slightly longer and trimmer than many of the boxy styles we have seen. The leather will develop rolls in the sleeves and comform to your body shape so a little longer on the sleeve and body is no bad thing.

What really stands out immediately about Thedi jackets is the construction and detail. From the fantastic stitching, the button attachment, the hardware and all the details you will see, everything feels very solid like it was built for the bike and styled for everyday wear. These are lifetime jackets that will keep getting better the more you wear them.

The MTC-127913 Cossack jacket is not as boxy as a a number of Cossack style jackets we’ve seen, it is a slightly slimmer and longer take on the jacket. The “model” is wearing a Medium and it fits slim but will be perfect when broken in and shaped a bit. Apart form the initial stiffness due to the thicker horsehide it did not feel restrictive and he was wearing a t-shirt and medium weight sweat under it. He generally takes a medium-large/ 16 / 38-40 in most Western sized tops, shirts and jackets.

He is 5ft 10-11″ tall (180 cm), medium build/ large chest, weighing in at roughly 86 KG.

Thicker leather jackets, particularly horsehide tend to crease up and shape to the wearer more permanently than softer thinner leathers so advice would be to always oversize slightly and it will shape to your body better without feeling restrictive. A thick leather jacket if oversized slightly might initially look a bit big but after a short amount of time will look and feel the perfect fit.

Please see how we measure our products here and compare the measurements chart for this item against an item of yours that fits how you would like this to. Bear in mind that a horsehide jacket less pliable and giving than many fabric or soft leather jackets you may own so for ease of movement you might want to go for the larger size if on the fence.

Please do also get in touch with any questions you may have, we’re always happy to hear from customers.
