The Vasco Duffle Bag is a true travel and daily throw it all in companion for life. It is a modern interpretation of the bindle/ bonsack which was a simple and practical bag Western sailors used to keep all their worldly belongings in. Vasco’s interpretation has 2 openings for a more modern take. The top fully opens the bag and is sealed with a brass catch and the full length of the body is secured by a very heavy duty Waldis zip. Carrying is easy and comfortable with either a heavy weight leather cross body strap or wrapped and sewn thick cowhide riveted handle.

The leather (North American raw) is vegetable tanned in Himeji, Japan and “hill dyed” by hand which is a very old traditional hand dyeing method which gives the leather a very rich lustre and slight vintage texture and look. It’s beautiful thick and pliable.

The brass fittings are custom made for Vasco, the interior is lined with a heavy duty canvas.

This is one of those items that is very practical, a lifetime piece and will be with you as long as you are here. Then you can pass it on. It’s a beauty and we look forward to seeing some age.
