The Kinney Chukka Boots from White’s are part of their lifestyle range offering customers the same quality, style and hardiness that their work boots are famous for but in a more off duty silhouette and style. In our opinion the Chukka’s offer just that, we really like them. They are extremely comfortable, feel solid and are slick enough for everyday wear whilst still being able to take years of punishment should you feel the need.
They still carry all the famous White’s trademarks such as heavy duty all leather construction but have been lasted (pattern cut for and shaped on) on the Barrie last (Alden Shoes), which has a low almond shaped toe profile and gives them a less bulky work boot look and more of a hybrid between a work and dress boot. They are of course still more than capable of withstanding any real work you’d like to do in them as the construction is of the same high standard.
Construction & leather: Unlike White’s work boots the Chukka’s are Goodyear Welted which means they are still easily resole-able (more so than many other construction methods) and also gives the boot a closer sole edge finish making them look more dress like. They are all leather construction including the shank and are bottomed with hard wearing Dainite soles and heels. The British Tan leather is a favourite. It’s a rich, heavy duty pull up leather that ages very nicely and is pliable immediately.
