Time to show off your socks!

These White’s Oxfords used to be a Japanese exclusive…….we kept asking about them………and now they are not. They are the same great and sturdy built chassis as all White’s boots but cut as an Oxford and trimmed in close for a slightly smarter and lighter weight alternative. What we love about them is that they look and feel very well balanced, they are an easy on and off chunky but not overly so pair of shoes that you can wear with pretty much anything and they look great. A great year round choice for all hem widths.

Dress leather is also one of the most popular choices with White’s. It is not as thick as CXL for example but is extremely sturdy, doesn’t stretch much and ages and shapes beautifully. It is also not dyed through so you get the tea core effect after a lot of wear (just polish or wax them if you are not keen though).

Every pair of White’s work boots are individually hand crafted from start to finish and are made to withstand the toughest of environments.

Construction: All leather, no synthetic materials or fillers are used. Stitch-down construction for strength, comfort and ability to resole. Stitched throughout with heavy gauge waxed thread. Flexible oak tanned leather mid soles, optional Vibram outer soles, strong all-leather shank custom shaped to fit your foot and the finest leather uppers that will only get better with age makes White’s a real work horse of a boot.

The Oxfords are on the C461 last which is similar in length to other White’s lasts but has more of a tapered/ almond shaped toe. We advise going up a half size compared to other White’s as the dress leather doesn’t stretch as much and these felt slightly slimmer in width for a D width.  Please see our recent guide here for a more in depth guide on sizing of all the brands we stock.

A size 8 in the Oxfords feels like:

John Lofgren Engineers: 7.5-8

John Lofgren M43: 7.5-8

White’s Smoke Jumper (lace to toe): 7-7.5

White’s Semi Dress Last: 7.5

Red Wing (majority of styles): 8.5 US

Rolling Dub Trio: 7.5-8 dependent

Viberg 2030 last: 7.5 (Viberg boot sizing)

White’s are sized in US sizes but generally fit quite true to UK sizing, so a 9US is a very similar fit to true UK size 9 (EU 43). The majority of our White’s boots are in a D width fitting which is the US average and comparable to a UK G/F. They have plenty of toe wiggle room and are snug (as they should be) through the rest of the boot.

Please contact us here with any sizing questions you may have. We will do our best to assist you in as much depth as we can to get your sizing right. We have experience with a number of UK, European, Japanese and USA made branded shoes/ boots to help with comparisons and can take any measurements you may need.
