The Dry Bones Jean Engineering Denim Pants were just what we were after. We were searching for a slim straight leg with a reasonable rise, good thigh width but with a slimmer leg and opening. Comfortable and practical. We bought a pair, loved them and are now stocking them. Both styles are some of the best fitting jeans we have tried and they come in a nice mid weight crispy to begin with denim.
The denim: Weighs in at 13.5 oz and is pre-washed with a dry slightly crisp handle. It is neither a flat or slubby denim, somewhere in between. Fairly quick to fade (take a look at our 1 month on/off wear pics) and fades beautifully with good contrast. The arcs on the back pockets will gradually wear away leaving a true vintage worn in look over time.
The fit: Just great in both fits. Both are particularly good when sized right for those with large thighs who want something in between loose straight vintage and modern day skinny tapered. For us, both fits work very well as they are medium rise (so you get some shape to your butt), generous but not baggy in the thigh and slim down nicely to an opening that doesn’t swamp those boots! Size dependent they work great for engineers and lace ups, no clown foot or swamped footwear.
Check the measurements and sizing tab for comparison but the DP-562W are just a bit more generous than the DP-582W and you can get a similar fit in both styles by going up or down by one to two sizes.
Made in Japan and all measurements are taken from the pair you will receive.
