PRAS sneakers are a very well made basic shell cap style that will far outlast the average in the same style. The are made by bonding the sole to the upper by vulcanisation, a process where extreme heat is used to bond instead of cementing or glueing. It is a time consuming and thorough process which greatly improves their longevity. Add the custom made hard wearing canvas uppers, non slip sole and quality components and you have an elevated basic sneaker (trainer, plimsole) that will last you.
The PRAS shell cap low sneakers are made from a custom heavy duty upper. It is a cotton/ canvas that is exclusively produced for PRAS in Japan on vintage toyoda shuttle looms and is very hardwearing.
The fit is good for many a foot. We particularly like them as they do not crush the toes, that have quite a rounded toe and good width at the ball whilst still be shapely in the waist and average in the heel, there is no need to size up due to a more pointed toe box. PRAS are a good fit for many a foot shape, particularly for those with wide feet and or toes as they have quite a rounded toe and have good width at the ball whilst slimming in at the waist. Sneakers being sneakers they have more a flexible fit than boots of course but on the whole the below is a good guide. If you’d like more detail, please get in touch.
