Exclusive for East West, the M43’s from Skoob are no fuss, lightweight, extremely versatile in style and fit, tough little boots that you will become your go to boots. They will look and feel great when they’ve shaped to your feet. Which won’t take long.
The tea core leather is Horsebutt from Italy. It is mid weight, very pliable and immediately comfortable. It’s lovely stuff. The grain is very fine, mostly smooth with the odd mark here and there but nothing that detracts from how nice it is and how beautifully it will age. It is over-dyed Black/ very dark Brown and that surface dye will slowly fade in areas of wear to reveal the Red/ Brown tones of the leather underneath.
The shape/ last is shapely and a bit like a blank canvas for you to shape. It has a curved waist but when new they are fairly straight from heel to toe. They are soft toe’d (not structured) and the leather is very pliable so ready to take the shape of your feet as is expected with M43 styles. They are low toe profiled, average to slim in width but with good volume over the mid foot up to the ankle. They really are quite versatile and are ready to take your foots shape. One of the great things about them is that they feel very sturdy but very lightweight, almost like wearing heavier sneakers.
Construction & finish: Goodyear welted, very neat triple stitching throughout, leather lined, leather midsole and one piece layer of cork between insole and midsole for comfort. They are neat, the trimming and stitching is all very uniform and really just a well made easy pair of boots.

The Skoob M43’s have a very flexible and easy fit. They start off fairly slim at the ball and toe but as they are unstructured and there is good volume over the mid to back of foot area, they will shape to your feet and give and mould quite quickly, as they are meant too in this style. There is quite a bit of volume over the mid foot and towards the ankle but still tie up nice and tight at the opening for thinner ankles. They are quite voluminous in feel throughout the boot but will shape like a glove after a short amount of time. They are D width and very flexible.
