The Pannier bags are a new addition to Vasco’s “Old Oil Series” and they have been executed with wow! Hopefully the pictures do the set up of the bags justice but in short they are pannier bags with a leather outer and a solid brass zipped pocket on either side. Solid brass buckle and popper fastening at the bottom and sides (for when you use the removable interior bag) and are fully lined in a very heavy weight canvas. The removable bag is bound edge heavy canvas that you can use to fill for everyday use when the panniers are not being used on the bike. Lots and lots of details and the quality and execution of the bags are superb, very original, beautiful and extremely well made.

The leather is vegetable tanned in Himeji, Japan and “hill dyed” by hand which is a very old traditional hand dyeing method which gives the leather a very rich lustre and slight vintage texture and look. It’s beautiful.

The brass fittings are custom made for Vasco, the interior is lined with a heavy duty canvas and the thick leather strap (with heavy felt sewn in pad for comfort) is comfortable and will shape and soften with use. Nice details and handsomely fit for purpose.

These bags are investment pieces as they will age to perfection with you and whoever you pass it onto.
