This version of the Cutter Boots are White’s machine stitchdown version. They are hand lasted but the welt is not hand stitched. Personally, we really like the clean flat welt that is achieved by machine stitching the welt, it’s neat and solid!
The Cutter boots are a shorter Smoke Jumper made on the very accommodating lower profile and very comfortable Semi Dress last. The Original Smoke Jumper Boots that the Cutter is based upon by were designed for and are still worn by the woodland firefighters of the US North West. Built with the very best components to withstand the harshest of environments whilst offering the wearer maximum support and comfort they are the ultimate work boot and fully rebuildable to offer lifetime companionship.
The Double Shot leather is tough, tea core leather and feels like a blend of two leathers that White’s use regulalry for their boots, dress leather and CXL. The leather will patina quite quickly making them look lived in and comfortable in a short time.
Construction: Every pair of White’s boots are handmade from start to finish. All leather, no synthetic materials or fillers are used. Stitch-down construction for strength, comfort and ability to resole. Stitched throughout with heavy gauge waxed thread. Flexible oak tanned leather mid soles, optional Vibram outer soles, strong all-leather shank custom shaped to fit your foot and the finest leather uppers that will only get better with age all make White’s a real workhorse of a boot.
The Archease (high leather arches) feel extremely supportive underfoot and once all of that leather in the arch starts to shape to your foot, there is not another pair of boots quite like it for all day wear.
