Description

We are big Pecos and pull on boots fans and, for very good reason, we wanted to expand what we stock from Zerrows and so, you can see what we did here. The Zerrows Pecos are classic, very very well made, heavily stitched with piped and reinforced side seams (a lot of work) and in a great pattern using a very nicely shaped last. We really like them!

We chose Zerrows chiselled toe last and it is superb. It is quite a sleek last (smaller than the flat toe), has a rounded tapered toe, good volume over the toes and mid foot and is shapely in the waist and throughout. Take a look at the size advice but we feel this fits a half to whole size smaller than their flat toe last. This shapely last works perfectly on the Pecos, it gives them that classic look landing somewhere between a work and cowboy boot. The shaft is slim for tighter hems but there is enough width at the ankle and instep for them to slip on in the right size whilst going over 8″ trouser hems no problem (in size 9 for example).

Comfort: Immediate, they are not a fussy fit at all, quite good for a mix of foot shapes as there is medium arch support (not flat, not exaggerated) and there is volume in height over your foot to adapt as they break in. They are not particularly narrow but wider feet might want to go up half a size.

The Leather: We went for Horweens Natural Latigo leather. Similar in weight to their CXL leather (it feels slightly heavier) the Latigo is smooth, hard wearing, heavy weight but doesn’t show age as quickly or as pronounced as CXL does, it feels and looks a touch more dressy with a slight duller sheen to it. Being the Natural colour they will gradually darker to a more Golden Brown. They will look fantastic when worn for a few years.

Construction & finish: The best materials and construction methods have been used in these boots, just see the DETAILS tab. The stitching is very neat and uniform, the heel well balanced and elegantly shaped and the sole trim is even and nicely done.

What’s more, they even come with extra leather insoles that you can add or remove to adjust the fit.

Sizing information

The Zerrows Pecos are made on their chisel toe last which come up smaller than the flat toe last by a whole size. It feels good on the foot, Slim - normal in the heel, shapely in the waist without being tight, standard D width at the ball which tapers towards the toe. If you have wide splayed toes then you might want to go up a half size from the below. They also have quite good volume over the foot and toes so if they do feel a little snug to begin with there is room to accommodate when they are broken in. In the right size they should not be difficult to get on or off either, there is good room in the instep and shaft opening. Shipping & Returns

A couple of notes:

We ship Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays (and between if possible) using next day for the UK and expedited for the rest of the World including the EU. Tracking information will be sent to you by email at the time of shipping.

To keep things nice and simple and just incase you need to return an item the shipping cost has not been calculated into the price of your item/s. We feel that this way it is transparent and can price the item accordingly and not inflate the item cost to cover free shipping.

The shipping rate is calculated on the heaviest item in your cart/ basket only so no need to worry that you’ll be charged twice.

UK Shipping:

Flat rate of £7.00 for all orders.
Next day with UPS if ordered before 10am.

EEC European Countries:

(Excluding: Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Estonia, Greece, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Romania & Switzerland – Please see details further below):

All import costs for with a product value above £300 (for the items only, not including shipping costs) are covered by East West Apparel and so the price you see on the product page is the price you will pay (which will get converted to your currency) + the below shipping costs. There will be no import taxes or duties for you to pay unless your order value for items only is under £300.

We hope you are happy with your item/s but if for any reason you do need to return or exchange an item then we offer a full no hassle refund or exchange providing yiou adhere to the below.

Please Note: Any items such as custom/ special ordered boots or items that have been altered in any way at your request or whilst in your possession are non-returnable/ refundable unless faulty when received. So, please contact us to discuss any sizing details or queries and refer to any relevant sizing charts before placing an order.

UK Returns:

Please contact us letting us know you wish to return an item.

Items must be unworn, all tags and associated packaging attached and in the condition you received them. PLEASE TRY SHOES & BOOTS ON ON A CARPETED SURFACE to keep the sole in new condition. We do understand the need to try on boots for a short time to assess the fit but creased leather or signs of longer wear will not be deemed as being in brand new condition and as you received them.

Return shipping is your responsibility (unless the item is faulty) and we would suggest sending the item by an insured (for the full value) and recorded method, as they are your responsibility until we receive them back. We can also arrange to email you a UPS returns label and deduct £10 from your refund or invoice you the same amount if it is an exchange.
Returns must be received within 14 (UK) and 14 (EU/ International) days of the date of delivery. Any returns received after this time will result in either an exchange or shop credit being offered only.

Once the goods are received back and inspected satisfactorily we will issue a full refund minus initial shipping costs within 24 hours to the original source of payment. Please leave up to 7 days for the refund to show on your payment source.

NON UK Returns:

Please use a shipping service of your choice. We recommend insuring the item. We potentially can arrange return shipping depending on your country so please get in touch to find out the cost.

If returning items from outside of the UK it is important that you mark the items as a RETURNED ORDER/ GOODS.

Please also declare the value at no more than £50 (or the equivalent in your country’s currency). If you do not do this, we will end up paying taxes and duties on the item for a second time around which will have to be deducted from your refund. Please do insure the parcel for the full value as the item is your responsibility until we receive it back.

All other conditions are as for the UK.

Upon receipt of returned items, we will issue a full refund for the amount paid for the items only or give an exchange or credit as required.

Exchanges:

Please follow the same steps as for refunds with the exception of:

Please inform us by email that you wish to exchange for a different size/ item and if in stock we will reserve your exchange item for you or alternatively order your size/ item in especially for you (subject to availability).

The exchange item will be sent out to you with free Shipping within the UK and at a discounted rate for EU and International customers. Please note that only the first exchange item will be sent out with free/ discounted shipping. Any subsequent exchanges will incur normal shipping charges, which will be payable prior to the item being shipped. We will contact you with shipping costs.

EU EXCHANGES: Unfortunately we cannot cover the import fees (VAT/ Any duty) for the exchanged import to the EU. We cannot recoup the costs of the initial import and so therefore it would mean too much of a loss for a small business like ours. We will make it very clear on the exchange paperwork that it is an exchange and be as helpful on the paperwork as it allows so that the fee’s are kept to a minimum.
