Makers Shoes make a great pair of boots and the Vittoria boots are a great example of a Chelsea that looks and feels very traditional, versatile and different from the rest. They can easily be dressed up or down and are immediately very comfortable whilst being superbly made to last.
The Last: Is a good versatile fit for many a foot shape. It looks like it is going to be small/ slim fitting but it feels great and very accommodating for average to slightly wider feet. The toe tapers so we recommend sizing up a half for wide/ splayed toes. They are generously shapely in the heel and mid foot to ball area and taper to a smart/ casual almond shaped toe so can comfortably be dressed up or down with ease. They’ve got a lovely shape with light arch support and leather covered padding to the heel and full leather insole for added support and comfort.
The Leather is Buckskin (origin to be confirmed) which is a Chrome tanned Deerskin with very fine grain that starts off dress like in sheen. It feels like a thick and tough Lamb or Goat leather, very oily and luxurious. It is top dyed (tea core) so you will see the lighter brown hues coming through with wear (or you can keep them polished for this to be minimal). It will age to perfection with minimal maintenance and develop those lovely rolls as you get with Horse hides. It’s high end stuff!
Construction: Is stunning! They are Goodyear flat welted and it has been carried out to perfection. They are so very very neat. The Stitching is neat and very intricate, the trim and finish are equal and very neat also and just look and feel extremely well made and balanced. Great for those that love the near perfect. The elastic insert shape is original and generous and they are fully leather lined for comfort and that luxurious feel.
The Vittoria boots are original, very comfortable and luxury and feel like that will last a very long time and look even better for it.
