The MTC-7925 Half Belt Sports jacket from Thedi Leathers is a mid to heavier weight, second skin and lifetime companion of a jacket. Extremely well made out of beautiful medium – heavy weight Italian Bruciato tea-core Horsehide with some very well thought out details. It's a great take on a casual biker style half belt.

The Tea Core Horsehide leather from Italy is a stunning hand dyed veg tanned medium to heavy weight leather (1.3 mm thickness). It's a fairly pliable but slightly stiff start to the leather and so when it creases they will be nice, sharp and crisp like good ole HH leather jackets. It has a medium grain and a lovely sheen to start which will mute with time and wear. As it is a tea-core leather you will start to see the underlying Brown tones start to show through in areas of heavy wear after extensive wear. This is a lovely old school looking and feeling Horsehide and it will look great when shaped up.

The other details: Hard wearing but soft wool lined, viscose lined sleeves, brass vents to the pits which are surrounded by a sewn in leather shaped patch for extra wear protection, branded zip internal gun pocket (who doesn’t love that pocket), two outer hand warmer pockets, heavy stitched collar and heavy gauge 2-way Thedi zipper and brass buckles.

For sizing and fit info please see the sizing info but this jacket is purposefully short in style and slightly on the trimmer side for Western sizing. We asked for shorter measurements to cater for higher rise trouser wearers, bike riders and the vertically challenged and whilst it looks just about fine with lower rise jeans/ trousers it goes very well with what we intended it for.

What really stands out immediately about Thedi jackets is the construction and detail. From the fantastic stitching, the button attachment/ choice of own branded heavy duty hardware and all the details you will see. Everything feels very solid like it was built for the bike and styled for everyday wear. These are lifetime jackets that will keep getting better the more you wear them.

All handmade in a small workshop in Greece headed by a great man and his small team.

Sizing information

The MTC-7925 half belt sports jacket fits on the smaller side in terms of western sizing. On the whole a size up from what you would think of Western sizing is a good way to go but you would be better checking the measurements (measured by hand of the item you will receive) against a heavier jacket that you own and fits how you'd like this to.

It's a trim, short, classic sports kind of fit, lower at the front with a higher (shorter) back and is well balanced between the shoulders, chest and sleeves. A great cut for riders, high rise trouser wearers or the vertically challenged.

The mannequin and model are wearing a LARGE and it fits the model well/ very comfortable with a good range of movement and will be perfect when broken in and shaped a bit. It did not feel restrictive in a t-shirt and he could wear medium to slightly heavier weight tops without issue and even easier after a short break in. He generally takes a large/ 16-17 in Japanese sizing and 38-40 (Medium) in most Western sized tops, shirts and jackets. He is 5ft 10-11″ tall (180 cm), medium build/ large chest and upper back, weighing in at roughly 86 KG.

Thicker leather jackets, particularly horsehide tend to crease up and shape to the wearer more permanently than softer thinner leathers so advice would be to always oversize slightly and it will shape to your body better without feeling restrictive. A thick leather jacket if oversized slightly might initially look/ feel a bit bigger but after a short amount of time will look and feel like the better more comfortable fit.

A couple of notes:

We are now covering import costs into the USA, please see details below under the Rest Of World section.

We ship Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays (and between if possible) using next day for the UK and expedited for the rest of the World including the EU. Tracking information will be sent to you by email at the time of shipping.

To keep things nice and simple and just incase you need to return an item the shipping cost has not been calculated into the price of your item/s. We feel that this way it is transparent and can price the item accordingly and not inflate the item cost to cover free shipping.

The shipping rate is calculated on the heaviest item in your cart/ basket only so no need to worry that you’ll be charged twice.

UK Shipping:

Next day with UPS or DHL if ordered before 10am.

Returns:

SALE ITEMS: Are non returnable/ refundable so please do check measurements thoroughly using the measurements provided. If you are unsure on sizing, please do get in touch so we can help with any information you might need.

We hope you are happy with your item/s but if for any reason you do need to return or exchange an item then we offer a full no hassle refund or exchange providing yiou adhere to the below.

Please Note: Any items such as custom/ special ordered boots or items that have been altered in any way at your request or whilst in your possession are non-returnable/ refundable unless faulty when received. So, please contact us to discuss any sizing details or queries and refer to any relevant sizing charts before placing an order.

UK Returns:

Please contact us letting us know you wish to return an item.

Items must be unworn, all tags and associated packaging attached and in the condition you received them. PLEASE TRY SHOES & BOOTS ON ON A CARPETED SURFACE to keep the sole in new condition. We do understand the need to try on boots for a short time to assess the fit but creased leather or signs of longer wear will not be deemed as being in brand new condition and as you received them.

Return shipping is your responsibility (unless the item is faulty) and we would suggest sending the item by an insured (for the full value) and recorded method, as they are your responsibility until we receive them back. We can also arrange to email you a UPS returns label and deduct £12 from your refund or invoice you the same amount if it is an exchange.
Returns must be received within 14 (UK) and 14 (EU/ International) days of the date of delivery. Any returns received after this time will result in either an exchange or shop credit being offered only.

Once the goods are received back and inspected satisfactorily we will issue a full refund minus initial shipping costs within 24 hours to the original source of payment. Please leave up to 7 days for the refund to show on your payment source.

NON UK Returns:

Please use a shipping service of your choice. We recommend insuring the item. We potentially can arrange return shipping depending on your country so please get in touch to find out the cost.

If returning items from outside of the UK it is important that you mark the items as a RETURNED ORDER/ GOODS.

Please also declare the value at no more than £50 (or the equivalent in your country’s currency). If you do not do this, we will end up paying taxes and duties on the item for a second time around which will have to be deducted from your refund. Please do insure the parcel for the full value as the item is your responsibility until we receive it back.

All other conditions are as for the UK.

Upon receipt of returned items, we will issue a full refund for the amount paid for the items only or give an exchange or credit as required.

Exchanges:

Please follow the same steps as for refunds with the exception of:

Please inform us by email that you wish to exchange for a different size/ item and if in stock we will reserve your exchange item for you or alternatively order your size/ item in especially for you (subject to availability).

The exchange item will be sent out to you with free Shipping within the UK and at a discounted rate for EU and International customers. Please note that only the first exchange item will be sent out with free/ discounted shipping. Any subsequent exchanges will incur normal shipping charges, which will be payable prior to the item being shipped. We will contact you with shipping costs.

EU EXCHANGES: Unfortunately we cannot cover the import fees (VAT/ Any duty) for the exchanged import to the EU. We cannot recoup the costs of the initial import and so therefore it would mean too much of a loss for a small business like ours. We will make it very clear on the exchange paperwork that it is an exchange and be as helpful on the paperwork as it allows so that the fee’s are kept to a minimum.
