These Brown Dress Smoke Jumpers are about as classic a pair of White’s boots as you will get. The Brown dress starts with a shine (which can be kept with care) but gives way with wear to a really nice worn brown undertone. This version we had made on the #55 Semi Dress last is we find it a better fit for most feet giving a slightly sleeker toe than the standard Smoke Jumper last.

The Original Smoke Jumper Boots by White’s were designed for and are still worn by the woodland firefighters of the US North West. Built with the very best components to withstand the harshest of environments whilst offering the wearer maximum support and comfort they are the ultimate work boot and fully rebuildable to offer lifetime companionship.

Construction: Every pair of White’s boots are handmade from start to finish. All leather, no synthetic materials or fillers are used. Stitch-down construction for strength, comfort and ability to resole. Stitched throughout with heavy gauge waxed thread. Flexible oak tanned leather mid soles, optional Vibram outer soles, strong all-leather shank custom shaped to fit your foot and the finest leather uppers that will only get better with age all make White’s a real workhorse of a boot.

The Smoke Jumpers on the Semi Dress last fit slightly different than either the standard Smoke Jumper and the Semi Dress lasts. Like the SJ last they are quite roomy in the heel and mid-foot but snug/ standard D/E width feeling when the laces are tied. The ball and toe is the difference. The toe/ ball feel slightly less roomy than the Semi Dress last normally does due to the pattern with maybe a touch more width at the ball and a more tapered toe than the standard SJ last. If in doubt, please get in touch with information about your sizing for further guidance. These boots have a large footprint compared to other boots, just worth keeping in mind.

White’s are sized in US sizes but generally fit quite true to UK sizing, so a 9US is a very similar fit to a true UK size 9 (EU 43). The majority of White’s boots stocked are in a D width fitting which is the US average and comparable to a UK G/F.
