Makers Shoes are here…to stay.

Makers are a very small outfit based in Tokyo making very original styled takes on classic shoes and boots. We received our first shipment and were gobsmacked! The styling (very original), materials, comfort and finish are fantastic, really.

Made by just two craftsmen who make and manage the business, Makers was started in 2009 after Shin Teshima finished his shoe making course. Prior to that he worked at a vintage shop until he was 25 and in his own words:

“I couldn’t find the shoes I wanted. Then I enrolled in a shoe school and learned how to make shoes”.

“My dream is to make shoes that the brand MAKERS will one day line up in vintage shops even after I die”

All made in house with original lasts the shoes and boots are Goodyear Welted and the rest is all done by hand, and it shows in a very good way.

They have been in our sights for a long time and we are very pleased to finally be a stockist.
